A native to Toronto. Inez began a career in Graphic Design, working in advertising agencies and graphic design studios. Creating corporate design for international brands as well as participated in gallery shows, forums and art events.

Inez has also worked as a professional educator at Humber College, Central Technical School and The  Academy of Design.

Her mentors; Richard Gorman, Tom Thomson, Jack Bush, Ray Mead, Kuzuo Nakamura, and David Hockney. These artists earned a living in graphic design and applied similar aesthetic principles to their paintings. Regardless of the circumstances – painted on canvas, or generated on the computer, manipulating the same fundamental elements of shape, line and colour.

Artist Statement

My paintings are an analogy of what exists. The truth for me is how nature shows itself in various forms, colours and proportions. Nature is a role model for my paintings. I am constantly searching for what exists. I am driven by motivation with no plan of outcome. I am amazed to find how chance works best. My hopes to accomplish is: a partial hint of another way of seeing and sharing the same experience with others.
